Applied AI for operations
9point2 embeds with your business to implement AI where it creates real leverage, and builds the custom applications your operation actually needs.
The Operating Map
Every vendor is selling AI now. But the gap isn't access to tools - it's having someone who understands your operation well enough to know where AI actually creates leverage, and can implement it in a way that sticks.
Meanwhile, the software your team uses still doesn't fit. You bought something close enough, but the workarounds keep growing - spreadsheets, manual steps, tribal knowledge that lives in someone's head.
9point2 fills both gaps: an AI operating partner who embeds with the business, and a builder who creates the custom applications your operation actually needs.
AI models can read invoices, draft quotes, parse catalogs, review documents, route exceptions, and summarize data. The capability is real. But capability without implementation is just a demo.
Most businesses don't need an AI strategy. They need someone who can walk their operation, identify the three workflows where AI saves the most time, and build it into the way the team already works - not as a side project, but as the new operating layer.
At the same time, custom internal applications that used to cost six figures and take six months can now be built in weeks at a fraction of the cost. The businesses that move now get compounding advantages their competitors are still waiting for a vendor to deliver.

9point2 embeds with the business, implements AI where it creates real leverage, and builds the custom applications that make the operation run better every week.
What we build
Not SaaS. Not off-the-shelf. Bespoke internal tools and AI workflows shaped around your operation - the recurring work, the manual bottlenecks, and the decisions that deserve better than a spreadsheet.
Agents that read documents, draft responses, route exceptions, summarize data, and prepare decisions for humans - replacing the repetitive work that eats your team's day.
Lead intake, follow-up, customer history, activity tracking, and deal stages shaped around how your business actually sells and serves - not a generic template.
Product catalogs, pricing lookups, quote builders, scope calculators, and proposal workflows that turn messy inputs into usable estimates.
Document intake, vendor matching, approval routing, exception queues, and reconciliation workflows that reduce manual back-office drag.
Owner-level reporting, variance analysis, job margin views, cash-flow snapshots, and the specific metrics that tell you whether the operation is working.
Secure places for customers, vendors, or partners to see status, submit information, and approve work - connected to the systems you already run.
Field data — regional flooring & installation
For a regional flooring and installation business, we built the software layer around legacy ERP data, supplier catalogs, quoting workflows, and sales operations, turning scattered operational data into APIs and tools the team actually uses.
~60%
reduction in manual quoting time for the sales team
181k+
products structured into a searchable API from legacy ERP data
3 systems
connected - CRM, product catalog, and legacy ERP - that previously required manual lookup
9point2 Operating Map
Every engagement starts with the operation as it exists today - the workflows, the bottlenecks, the decisions that cost time. 9point2 follows a practical path from assessment through implementation so AI and custom tooling solve real problems, not theoretical ones.
Walk the operation. Identify where AI creates real leverage - not theory, but the specific workflows where automation, agents, or custom tools will move the needle.
Deploy AI into existing workflows: document processing, decision routing, data extraction, summarization, and the repetitive knowledge work your team does manually today.
When the answer is a specific tool - a CRM, quote engine, dashboard, portal, or integration - build it purpose-fit for the business. Not a product. Your application.
Stay close after launch. Monitor the AI systems, handle edge cases, train the team, and keep the tools improving instead of becoming shelfware.
Make the impact visible: time saved, errors reduced, throughput gained, and the few metrics that tell ownership whether the investment is working.
Some clients need AI implemented into their operation. Some need a custom application built. Most need both - and a partner who stays close enough to make it compound.
Embed, implement, and operate
Most businesses don't need a CTO or an AI strategy deck. They need someone who understands the operation, identifies where AI creates leverage, implements it, trains the team, and stays involved to keep the systems improving. That's what 9point2 does.
Bespoke internal tools, owned by you
When the answer is a specific tool - a CRM, quoting engine, dashboard, portal, or internal agent - 9point2 builds it purpose-fit for the business. Not a product with a subscription. A custom application scoped, priced up front, and owned outright when we ship it.
Every engagement starts with a live workflow audit, not a slide deck. We've shipped production AI systems and custom applications inside real operating businesses, and we know which capabilities hold up under daily use and which ones are demos.
Let's talkIndustries
9point2 is a fit when a business has valuable recurring workflows, manual bottlenecks, underfit software, and enough operational complexity that AI and custom tooling can create real leverage. If you've ever said "I wish someone would just build this for us" - that's where the conversation starts.
Economics
The old way: rent and adapt
Pay the subscription.
Build workarounds around it.
$500 / mo
plus the workarounds, the integrations, the manual steps around it.
Five years of renting
$30,000
And the tool still doesn't fit the way your business actually runs.
The 9point2 route: build what fits
A custom application built for your operation. Owned by you.
Custom internal applications that used to cost six figures now cost a fraction - and they fit your business exactly. 9point2 can roll off after delivery or stay on as your AI operating partner to keep the system improving.
Founder's note
The banking at Indianapolis Motor Speedway is 9 degrees, 12 minutes. Nine point two. The track was laid out in 1909 — two and a half miles, four corners, four straights — and the footprint, the layout, and the angle have never changed. Everything else has been rebuilt, repaved, or torn out. The geometry stayed.
It's not the design you'd expect for the fastest oval in open-wheel racing. The banking is low and the corners are sharp compared to other speedways. There's no wall of asphalt holding the car in the turn. The speed comes from the driver finding the line, knowing the angle, and trusting the engineering of the vehicle. Get the geometry right once and it keeps working for a hundred years.
I've spent eighteen years on the technical and operational side of defense, consumer products, tech, and commercial real estate — building teams, running operations, sitting in enough rooms to know what actually moves a business and what just looks like motion. Good operators are usually running as hard as their tools let them. The tools are the limit.
AI is a corner most businesses are entering at full speed without knowing where the line is. Some will put it where it creates real leverage — custom tools built for how the operation actually works — and come out the other side faster. The rest will lose momentum they won't get back.
9point2 exists to help operators find their line and keep their foot down. No handoff to a junior team, no offshore lottery. I design the system, I own the build.
